Jus Burgers, South Yarra

Since I've moved in the direction of eating a more traditional, organic diet, options to eat out in Melbourne have been few and far between. Enter Jus Burgers - South Yarra...
What I love about Jus Burgers - South Yarra is that they source their ingredients locally, in Victoria, their Beef and Lamb Burgers are Grass Fed and Hormone Free, also having the option of an Organic Beef Burger. Plus - they have a strict "No Freezer Allowed" Policy - so all their produce is fresh.

There's a funky vibe through the restaurant. Hip hop music played
throughout that got the kids bopping along through the meal.
The back room is perfect for a family meal, or catch up with friends - complete with false grass and a few tables - the room is intimate and relaxed.
Love the false grass!
How cute is the table number?
Jus Burgers - South Yarra also happens to be wonderfully kid friendly. The boys loved receiving their own colouring page and Mr 4, in particular, was inspired by the wall of completed pages and carefully coloured his own page. He was immensely proud of himself when his masterpiece was taped to the wall following our meal.
Mr 4 completing his masterpiece...
Organic Beef Burger - $14
The Husband had The Wagyu Beef Burger ($15) and enjoyed a side of chips, green tomato pickle and Spanish slaw too. The burger was bursting with flavor from every corner. My Husband, usually a fast eater, ate SLOWLY... savoring every delectable bite.
Wagyu Beef Burger - $15
The Grommit - $8
Other popular menu items include the Mozzarella Chicken Burger, Lamb Burger and The Pumpkin Burger.
Another impressive fact about Jus Burgers is that they have a separate fryer especially for vegetarian burgers. Even though I'm far from a vegetarian, I admire Jus Burgers for respecting their vegetarian customers so thoughtfully.
The experience was one to remember and one we will repeat again soon. I'm sure Mr 4 will be eager to check on his drawing!
I can only hope that more and more restaurants will move in the direction of providing locally sourced meals, and organic options - it's the way of the future...
Jus Burgers is located on Chapel Street and is just a short walk from Prahran Market - perfect for a quick bite before or after a market shop.

wow. I can't believe that I have not gone yet. What other organic places have you tried? What sort of foods do you like?
If you like Asian Akachochin a Japanese place in South Wharf has $20 lunch deals- try the chirashi deal with mini udon. Or there is a meat option if you like meat.
Two birds one stone in South Yarra does good coffees and meals with lots of veggies
Big Mama- does huge meals and kid friendly ones for about $10-$15 each. Near Arrow on Swanston
PATS the Philly way has these huge cheesesteaks for about $15. Add a large chips to share and its about $20. Bridge Road Richmond.
Il Dolce Freddo for sweet treats- Carlton
Thank you! I'll check out some of those eating spots!
