Cheats Chocolate Hazelnut Spread

My kids just adore this cheats chocolate hazelnut spread, and it takes mere minutes to prepare...

Instead of roasting and peeling hazelnuts, I use the simple shortcut of hazelnut meal/flour - all the hard work has been done for me and it's simply a matter or mixing the ingredients together in my mini food processor. (where to find a mini food processor)

Feel free to double the recipe - I like to use my mini food processor so keep the volume small, if you'd like to make more, then just use a regular sized food processor.  We prefer the taste of maple syrup, but feel free to substitute with your preferred sweetener.

Cheats Chocolate Hazelnut Spread
1 Cup Hazelnut Meal (where to find hazelnut meal)
1 Tablespoon Cacao Powder (where to find cacao powder)
2 Tablespoons Maple Syrup (where to find maple syrup)
1/4 Cup Milk (or milk of choice)

1. Place the hazelnut meal in a mini food processor. (where to find a mini food processor)
2. Add the cocoa and grind until well combined.
3. Add the maple syrup and milk and process until smooth.
4. Transfer to a bowl or mason jar and store in the fridge. Use within a few days.

Makes 1 Cup

I spread the Cheats Chocolate Hazelnut Spread onto pieces of bread which I cut into triangles using a star shaped cutter and the kids LOVED them! (where to find a star shaped cutter)
