French Toast Hearts - Muffin Tin Meal
I've mentioned in the past my struggles to get Mr 3 to eat eggs. So, for his Muffin Tin Meal this week, I cooked some French Toast, spread it with jam and cut it into little hearts to fit in a heart shaped muffin tin.
The usual struggle to keep him at the table and get him to finish his meal wasn't an issue with this fun Muffin Tin Meal! The hearts were empty of French Toast before I knew it! A resounding success!
I kept all the french toast off-cuts and gave them to Mr 1.5 for his dinner on his favorite Sesame Street plate - so nothing went to waste!

Looks like a great breakfast!
It sounds like he loved it. My son has started to wander during meals.
My 2 (almost 3) year old also doesn't stay at the table well, so I know what an accomplishment that is!! 2-3 year olds are so fickle. Two nights ago, I gave my son a bowl of green pepper soup which he didn't touch- the next day, I served the same soup for lunch and he said, "Mmm... this good soup!"
The only eggs I liked as a kid were cheesy eggs made in the microwave. My mom would mix eggs with a little milk, whisk it with a fork and then microwave... after @45 seconds, take out whisk again... repeat process until it's almost firm, then add cheese, whisk and microwave just a little bit longer. They aren't nearly as "dry" as regular scrambled eggs and if he likes cheese, you may be able to make them cheesy enough that he gives it a try!
@Julie - yes, they are so fickle at this age! Those eggs sounds super easy (& yummy!), thanks for sharing - will give them a try!
Looks yummy. I love your tin
Yummy!
Very adorable and yum :)
